Smithsonian Comes to Town!

Come on over! The Vermilion County Museum is hosting the Smithsonian traveling exhibit “New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music” from April the 10th through May 23rd. The exhibition showcases the connection between music and history and our local community.

Several of the special events planned are free to the public. “Behind the Console – Studio Recording Fun” is a free workshop for young adults (ages 11 to 14) presented by WDAN/WDNL/K-Rock. It will offer participants a hands-on opportunity to experience the art of studio recording. “Be a Square – Dance” is a workshop for children and adults on square dancing.

For pre-registration, a complete calendar of events, and museum hours, check out www.vermilioncountymuseum.org, or call 217-442-2922.
